So, after a few games I have to add a few other comments.
Is there the possibility to add the old layout as an option but with all player mats visible. Would be a mayor improvement to keep track of what every player is doing on the screen without scrolling. Now I have to click the players individually every time I wanna check what they are doing.
The smaller action log became less readable because lines are generally split due to being too long and then word wrapped onto two line. In the past it was always or most of the time one line. This made looking at the log easier and faster. Keeping an eye on what happened become more difficult.
Right now the highlighting of the chosen action on your own mart disappears now and then. For instance if it's not your turn it disappears. Sometimes it even does not light up during my turn. Would be great if it just stays there no matter who's turn it is.
There are also other bugs. I'm collecting them and I'll post them here or in the bug section.
Cheers
I hope you keep improving this!
Thanks for your feedback. As I explained in the first post, old layout cannot be kept because BGA guidelines does not allow it.
About the log, one thing that I've thought about is to have a "condensed" log similar to the digital edition that would just display the list of actions taken by each players. I haven't seen it as a suggestion so far so I don't know if that would really be needed though.
The thing about highlighting chosen action sounds like a bug, please do report it whenever you see it so I can look into it.

Another tiny detail. I miss that the tokens on the triumph and power deck move smoothly from spot to spot (like the meeples and mechs do). In the past this was the case but in the new UI update this is removed. Not important at all but it was nice to see it move up smoothly

.
I need to check that, I don't see any reason why this part would have changed.

Hi Tisaac,
Thanks for picking up work on this title again! Greatly appreciate it! It definitely deserved some TLC. I don't really get why so many people are dissatisfied? I think most of the things are a great improvement over the last version. But yeah, change is difficult. Mainly playing on desktop so I cannot judge for mobile.
It also bums me out that so many people are really rude. Definitely towards someone that invest time and effort on improving Scythe.
For everyone reading this, please be friendly. We're all human beings and we deserve some love and respect.
So I got three suggestion and one bug to report tho.
Suggestions:
1.
It would be great if you can scale the ui elements independently because mainly the Triumph Track and co are really small. I know you can do this with the zoom of your browser but then everything else is also bigger and I have to zoom back for all my other games or sites. Would be nice if it's a setting that is linked to only scythe and is remembered cross session. But that last part is a nice to have. Already some buttons to make the Triumph Track (+other stuff on the left) and your own player mat bigger or smaller would be great.
2.
Maybe it's an idea to put the objective cards on the board too so you do not have to scroll to find them. You can make them smaller and place them on the open corner depending on the config of your UI? The click and zoom functionality is then more useful. I could not find them the first time I played the game with the new UI.
3.
Maybe put the settings icon back on the board? Hiding it in the hamburger is rather cumbersome and a lot of players will never find it. If it's visible somewhere you at least get a clue it exists. You can also add a question icon (via the question/help toggle) for it so new people find or understand it easier.
Bug:
When locking the board with the lock icon (arrows in 4 directions + lock) it automatically zooms the board to mid level zoom. Would be great if it just locks the zoom level it has at that moment. Now it's not usable because it zooms my game real big (it seems it zooms to fit the width of the screen) and that's not playable at all. I would not auto zoom. I would just lock the zoom you already have. Or I would change the auto zoom that it always fits the full board on screen. So also taking height into account.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the matter!
Cheers
And again TY for the hard and great work!
1 and 2 could be an interesting addition but I need to see if that's worth the time so please make a suggestion so that players can upvote it.
3 is forbidden by the guidelines, the goal is to always have the settings at the same place accross all games.
I will check the autozoom issue. The "no-pan/lock mode" was primarly designed for the mobile experience but it does sounds like a fixable issue.
