I can understand a lot of players being angry because the mistakes other make are legitimately that bad. Sometimes a mistake is so egregious that I don't get how anyone with more than 30 minutes of experience playing the game could possibly make it.

I'm not accusing you of the above, and I also understand that people are not perfect and mistakes do happen (not paying attention, unfamiliar situation, etc.). I would be willing to play with you any time as well.

Thank you - I've got a lot better, and notice see the stupid mistakes I made that irritated people. It's just unnecessary with the aggression though, as if we're actually trying to fly a spaceship...

That said, after I made the post, I clicked on the player profile who'd triggered my rant and realised they literally have a feature request to overhaul the red button system because they get red thumbed so often, and so many comments regarding their toxicity...also I was at a pretty low point and didn't handle it well! A little bit embarrassed by making the post tbh but I'll leave it up as a reminder for people to have some perspective when playing with less experienced players

I've found I don't understand the 2 player game very well but happy to give it a go if you can teach me!

Yeah this is always frustrating. I overlook it the first few times and focus on friendly play but if they keep at it I just downvote and tell the system I don't want to play with them.

It's frustrating, but it's more frustrating when more experienced players try to give some tips on how to play/comm and it's either ignored or the newer player starts arguing. Mistakes are okay (even really egregious ones) if the person is interested in improving. But if they dig in it's extremely frustrating.
