My first post ever after a few years here. Thanks for the graphics update, but please add the option to use the original art set asap.

We fear change.

Thanks.

There is a bug report for that: https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=215559

Chiming in, I too wish to have an option to go back to old design. The new design is not friendly to the eyes and makes it harder to differentiate the cards, especially the 2 and 2x.

Latest news. The problem with the game log not displaying what card has been played does appear to be fixed for ongoing moves. The played card values are still not displayed for old log history, but I can live with that.

AFAICT the cards in my had are still being sorted properly. OK so far.

New graphics are still terrible. Above and beyond the aesthetics, it is really easy to confuse investment cards with 2 value cards.

Gonna go against popular opinion here-- much prefer the new graphics. Numbers are significantly more readable.

Djazz- wrote: 15 April 2026, 11:52 Why not include the graphics from the current version of the game when buying the physical edition, and while you're at it, add the extra color since it exists in the game? Personally, I find the new design less appealing than the previous one, with equally washed-out colors and cards that can be confusing, such as the ×2 and the 2 card. That said, I thank you for the effort to make a change. Here is my version, which has beautiful colors.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Their current response to the criticism is that this new port matches the current physical copy. It doesn't. I own both copies and Ive never heard anyone say they think the new art is better. But playing with the 6th expedition is fun, so the idea fact that they would go through all this trouble to re-port a perfectly functioning game but fail to add the only potentially interesting aspect, the 6th expedition, is absolutely mind blowing.

Yeah, this new change has broken the game for me. The play board visually jumping (every time a card is played) triggers motion sickness. Unfortunate, since previously this was my most played game.

I usually try to find nice things to say, but I am at a loss here. The numbers are bigger but somehow not at all easier to read and the x2 / 2 cards are just...wrong. I just stopped a real time game with someone who also did not like the design. I litterally cannot play this game again until the design is normal again. I am so sorry for the person putting time and effort into making changes (i do think the game needs bigger numbers that can be easily read) but I really hope they will understand that this is not a design that is going to work. Thank you for putting in the time, but i hope you will undo the new design and go back to normal.

And another thing... Unless the rules have changed (which is possible), the x2 cards should not be x2 - they should be a handshake because although the first one is x2, subsequent handshakes are x3 and x4. The new version has them all as x2.
Have the rules changed?

No rules change and you are correct.

Does this art even correspond to an actual printed version? Where does this come from? Who's idea even was this?

The x2 cards don't accurately reflect the rules, AND look at a glance just like the "2" cards. Such manifestly awful graphic design, I'm kind of shocked.
