Graphics change

I don’t have anything new to add, but I agree with the consensus here. The scaling issue has made the game unplayable. I’m not a fan of the lack of number contrast and x2 updated cards either. This is my most played game, so it’s very disappointing.

Just chiming in to say I agree with the consensus - improving accessibility is a very valid goal (I am red-green colour blind and have wanted icons on the cards for a long time) but this new design somehow makes it significantly worse. I don't understand why the Vincent Dutrait art wasn't used, if Kosmos sanctioned this change. Please give us an option to switch back to the old art.

This looks terrible and you can’t see all the cards on iPad. Not currently fit for purpose.

I agree that the graphics change is not great. It makes it very hard to play. Can you please put an option to toggle the display to the old version (like Wizard).

I am a game collector and fan of the games of Dr.Knizia and so I am aware that a new edition of Lost Cities was coming soon. This new graphics update is surely representative of that.

I don't know how easy it would be to make the edition used a matter of user customization? Of course that would be preferable.

My reaction to the new version wasn't positive and I quickly shifted to the previous version's card art which is a customization option available if you look at the related recent post. However, that change is not a true fix and there are some notable problems.

I've even noticed bugs! It seems that cards discarded to the middle aren't displayed consistently. Some are drawn yet still show in the middle piles. Furthermore when they are eventually played from the opponent's hand there is an awkward animation by which the card shifts from the discard into the opponent pile! This despite there being no animation for when cards are drawn from the middle, they just disappear in an instant. It all makes for a very awkward experience.

it's truly truly horrible.

Colours are off and difficult to tell apart.

x2 is easily confused with 2.

It's so awful that I don't want to play it anymore.

PLEASE BRING THE OLD GRAPHICS BACK!

I have visual impairments, including severe colour blindness. The new design is hideous from my perspective and clearly the designers have not consulted properly with people with these impairments. I know the cards have a symbol, but even that is hard for me to distinguish. Please make the old option available. Designers really shouldn''t try to fix things that aren't broken.
