Your comment is that they're up to date on other games, so it would seem like that isn't the case here, but it certainly can be. I haven't been late to a table in a good while, so I don't remember the exact scenario where it insists you play on your other table first (may only be for tables you're late to that are in Arena? Which this table is not).
Only arena games, as far as I know. I'm not sure why being in the red on one table would prevent that player form making a move in a different game.
Just based on my understanding of how BGA's site functions. I've never tried to make a move in one game while being in the red on another. Probably because I never go into the red in turn-based games. The one time I did, because of an emergency, I made moves only in that game.
Very possibly it's only Arena, but I believe the idea is to stop players ignoring a game they're losing in and want to try and stall out (if you wait long enough and your opponent doesn't kick you, the game will just be neutralised - and if it's your turn, not your opponent, they won't be being reminded that the game is still running without you playing). So basically, you're late to play on this game, you do that one first, and you're blocked from playing other games til you do.

That would make sense. Because, as you noted, a game can be neutralized after 40 days. Which should be a loss for the player staling, but I don't think it is. That's on BGA to fix.

Can anyone give some input here, someone who does go into the red? Does being in the red in one turn-based game prevent you from making moves in other games? (NOT arena games).

This is exactly it - one game is over due to a bug stopping me progressing. Now, i cannot start games, as I get a message saying:
You are currently late to play on at least one turn-based table. Please first play your game(s) in progress before starting a new one. (You can Play in real-time instead)
I can apparently "propose a rematch", but not start anything new.
AutumnCamel wrote: 15 April 2026, 20:24 Just quit the game or propose a mutual quit.
I would love to, but the only option open to me is to place a token, which I then get told cannot be done. Infinite loop.
I have asked the other player to quit / boot me, but no luck there either.

I have tried the general 'site issue' bug too, will see what happens there, but for now, it's keeping this one game (KoTD) returning to me whilst I cannot complete it, nor start other games afresh.

This is absurd.

If it is not possible to actually submit a move, there should be ... SOMETHING that can be done. I don't know what that "something" should be. Personally, I would never play a game that has a bug like this.

And, I now have learned that apparently being in the red on clock in ONE game prevents a player from creating any new tables of a game? That sounds very frustrating.

BGA is staffed largely by volunteers (I am one myself !), so I understand how things like this can happen.

Still. There is no way to just quit the game? I thought there was an option to "quit game". I might be mistaken.

Dude.

It's a 2-player game at 67% progression.

You can just concede the game simply by clicking "concede this game".

No Elo penalty, No Karma penalty.

I've been playing on BGA for 5+ years. I don't think I've ever conceded a game before - because I have not had the need. I have had the option pop up to say I can quit because someone else is late / not playing. But that was a nice big red button at the top.

The above is just to say, I expected a more obvious 'concede' button, not something hidden away in a menu. I was going to screen shot and ask for help in working out how to concede, but in doing that, finally found how to do it myself.

So, thanks for the push, and hurrah, I've learned another aspect of the site!

Well, technically that big red button allows you to skip players out of time. Unless someone else has already done so, in which case, yes, I believe you are given the option to quit (only because once any player is skipped, the results are essentially neutralised). In a 2p game, you're only going to see skip if your opponent is out of time, because no one but you can do the skipping.

Understandable. Especially since you were likely seeking a different option! For all I know, you were ahead. (I don't know this game at all). In which case, why would you want to concede?

I know King of Tokyo well, but not this expansion.

In future please be more careful about your usage of the word "anything". You make it sound (or at least can be easily understand as) you couldn't start any new match of any game. Yet you did that many times in the last days. As far as I can tell, you just couldn't start a new game of King of Tokyo Duel which is so much less dramatic. Also it makes so much sense to not let you start a new instance of that game while you are still overdue in another match of that game. I understand that it can be hard sometimes to find features on BGA, I think many users had this mind-blowing experience of finding a new feature despite being on BGA for years.

Since you made your first post about your subscription in general, it's not a too far a stretch to think "anything" meant really "any new game on BGA".

Well said, dschingis27.

So, let's review for the OP:

1) You can start ANY new game of Any game EXCEPT the one you are stuck in, which...why would you want to start another game of that game anyway ??? It's a broken busted game.

2) You. Can. Just. CONCEDE. The bugged game.

Please stop easting everyone's time. This is just nonsense.
