Bug stopping play, do I need to cancel subscription?

Now, i cannot start games,

I can apparently "propose a rematch", but not start anything new.

nor start other games afresh.

In future please be more careful about your usage of the word "anything". You make it sound (or at least can be easily understand as) you couldn't start any new match of any game. Yet you did that many times in the last days. As far as I can tell, you just couldn't start a new game of King of Tokyo Duel which is so much less dramatic. Also it makes so much sense to not let you start a new instance of that game while you are still overdue in another match of that game. I understand that it can be hard sometimes to find features on BGA, I think many users had this mind-blowing experience of finding a new feature despite being on BGA for years.

Since you made your first post about your subscription in general, it's not a too far a stretch to think "anything" meant really "any new game on BGA".

No - "anything new" was quite correct. I could propose a rematch (not new), but couldn't start *any* other game from scratch. Not just KoTD, but any game.

As I previously commented, I believe it is a punitive measure, designed to get people to deal with games they've been ignoring. Either play or quit, don't just think you can abandon a game forever and go on your merry way while others wait on you. Admittedly, others can boot you, but again, if it's not your turn, you don't see the game in your list to play, so you might forget about it. So this is just another measure trying to make sure people finish their games. Or at least, that's how I've always seen it (and appreciated it).

I can confirm that if you are late in a single turn-based game, you can't start any other turn-based game. As someone who mostly only plays turn-based games, I have ran into this a few times.

You probably could have saved a lot of argument and head scratching if you’d mentioned the bit about rematching upfront. I would certainly consider a rematch a “new” game so when I looked at your history and saw ~20 games begun since you went into the red on that game, well, nothing made sense. But you’re saying they’re all rematches? I’ve spot-checked a couple and they do seem to be…

Anyway, I see you managed to figure out how to quit the game. Have you looked for a bug report about your situation and voted for it, or filed a new bug? (Be sure to look first, as bug reports are often prioritized by votes, and if you split the vote across several similar tickets it doesn’t help anyone.) Because I see you seem to quite like KoTD and would have an interest in getting this issue fixed…

Honest question: why do you play solo games in timed mode? I always start in turn-based friendly mode for unlimited time (mostly in Studio, so you won't see many in my play history).
