Gaining access to translations before 30 days

Post by ramptik »

Hello,

Is there a way to gain access to translations before 30 days period?
Started using BGA 2 weeks ago and would like to improve translation for game/s I play for my language.
I'm translator for Mozilla and TDF open source projects so I have experience with translating software.

Also, I noticed that for Ticket to ride Europe, I mostly see "tutorial" strings, not game UI strings. Is that by design?

Thank you.

Are you referring to the 30 days waiting period before you are allowed to translate? If there are only few translators for your language, BGA might agree. You can ask them via https://boardgamearena.com/support -> website -> translations

Although Ticket to ride Europe was published as a separate game, it is very similar to an expansion of the original Ticket to ride. So I guess most texts are taken from the database of the original.

Language is a source of misunderstanding. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery: The Little Prince) But it is also the source of understanding - it all depends on how you use it. :-)

Yes. Thank you, I'll contact them.
