Venus is a great, underrated expansion.

Adds a lot of new stuff that isn't overpowered and requires synergy to be effective. The corps are mostly interesting/fun to play around these synergies other then Aphrodite kinda being awful/boring and manutech a bit OP (but not as bad as everyone says)

You have to get creative with finding ways to push Venus to unlock stuff which is part of the challenge but also have the option to just ignore it (but terraforming is weaker cause deck is diluted)

overall way better competitive expansion than colonies

What about comparing to turmoil? Which one would you prefer for 2p?

Random is OK for one more season. It still feels pretty novel. I did enjoy the deep-dive on Hellas, however. Although I wouldn't want a repeat of it, but I felt I learned a lot more spamming that one map instead of jumping all around. If we did a full season on Elysium and VB each that would improve the overall play of mid-tier players like myself.

After they each get a full season I would be down for other expansions. We should start with colonies, despite what you may prefer, as that has been out on BGA the longest.

The problem with colonies is that sometimes vitor and point luna just get free wins. There is nothing you can do about it, you can't stop the point and earth train.

I reconfigured your quote to reflect my opinion... :). I do enjoy playing games where prelude corps are excluded, for this reason. Of course to each other own. I also dislike the balance of Colonies (double trading, Sky Docs OP etc.).
