Recently BGA suddenly started to 'modernize' some old classics:
- Lost Cities
- Hearts
From what I heard, there will be more to come.
But looks like they didn't go well as they were expected:

Mainly for these reasons:
1. No alternative option - Players already used to the previous interface has no choice to keep their preferred version
2. Poor communication - Just check related player groups and forums
3. The decision is solely based on the BGA team or the publisher - The update was done without considering player demands at all
(For example, adding a confirmation was one of the most requested features in Lost Cities but it was totally ignored)
Years ago, Hanabi UI update added a fallback option which provided a UI structure similar to the previous version, after receiving negative responses.
Apparently BGA forgot their lessons from it and many others, like Seasons and French Tarot.
