Nightworker needs a special ban in 2-player. In general the 2-player game mode needs a special ban list but that card makes the game unplayable. Som other banned in 4-player games card don't make any difference.

I assume one of those three cards is Witches' Dance Floor, but what are the other two? =)EuroGamez wrote: ↑08 April 2026, 22:23Just out of curiosity which are those three cards that were not coded due to rules nightmare? =)alexwjb wrote: ↑10 March 2026, 18:43The only reason any cards weren't implemented before was fiddliness of coding, basically. I decided I wanted to try to implement the remaining cards, and that project is now done (the last three are either rules disasters or too annoying for online play).Gaskell146 wrote: ↑09 March 2026, 22:23 Not sure why wood palisades was fixed but can we ban it now. 1 wood to a point is ridiculous , especially with such a low cost to play.
Great job on coding all the cards though. I think it's great that all exists then we get to see which might deserve a ban.

Heresy Teacher and Reed Seller.
Reed Seller is not a rules disaster, it would just be very annoying in online play as it would massively slow down turn-based games.
Re: Banlist Discussion!
Ah thanks, Reed Seller I've actually seen in an IRL game, didn't seem very interestiing or impactfull so no big loss there.alexwjb wrote: ↑26 April 2026, 07:49

If the intended function of wood pallisades is indeed meant to be like in this example by Fontane

I definately like to see that card banned.
I like the card in general, as its not so easy to score extra VP, because you need tons of wood and I would be fine to congratulate the player in above example to master that with hedge keeper, Animal husbandry worker etc. But the downside in fencing big like 15 fences 3 pastures or 14/2, 12/1 is loosing points for pasture count or in this game also on AHW +2 VP for most pastures.
But with wood pallisades its possible to cover 12 squares and guarantee AHW VP with putting out 6+ pastures - sounds very wrong to me.

Yeah, that is not how I think the card should be interpreted. The "instead of" reads like you are still limited to 15 fences total and that for every time you use the ability 1 fence less is in your supply.Rudi1976 wrote: ↑06 May 2026, 11:04 If the intended function of wood pallisades is indeed meant to be like in this example by Fontane

Not sure where one can get a ruling on this, but if not wood palisades allows you to potentialy build 8 pastures and score 13 points with it (unlikely though)
Re: Banlist Discussion!
You could theoretically cover 12 squares, with 4pastures with 8 fences and 22 wood in pallisades resulting in: 12squares+11WP+4pastures = 27VP just by fencing

Short answer: you don't remove fence pieces from your supply when building palisades.
Re: Banlist Discussion!
I just finished a game where the Wood Palisades player (who was not the lowest elo on the table) came last.
I appreciate that this is an anecdote and not data, but I simply don't believe that Wood Palisades is stronger than the current strongest unbanned minors (Job Contract, Harvest House, Swing Plow, Cesspit, Brewery Pond etc).
I agree that there are games where it -can- be very strong, but that's true of lots of cards. Hedge Keeper/Animal Husbandry/Wood Palisades is a good combo, but there are many, many other good combos in the game. We don't ban Clay Supports because it's got an amazing combo with Bricklayer and House Artist, see also Hand Truck/Steam Machine, Collector/Museum Caretaker/Champion Breeder, there are literally thousands of such combos.
Basically: my personal view is that given that it is not particularly annoying to play against, it shouldn't be banned unless the next set of stats show it is higher PWR than the strongest minors which we didn't ban. I am pretty sure it won't be, but very willing to be proven wrong.

Re: Banlist Discussion!
You are right that the card isent overall better than all those you listed and especially with clay supports there are tons of combos, though to make wood pallisades work you "just" have to assemble a lot of wood, which isent exactly impossible in 4p games.
I think what triggers me to disliking the card is the odd behaviour in fencing above 15 fences not the rawr power itself.
