Can both white pieces be symmetric?

One of the rules in the PDF for the physical game (https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/2971 ... ion-2025en) is:

f. Two white gems cannot be placed in a perfectly symmetrical arrangement along the vertical or horizontal direction.

Is this rule implemented in the BGA version of the game?

I just finished a game where the two white pieces share symmetry in the horizontal direction:
