All I want to do is inform the tourney maker that they have thier minimum and maximum participants the same. Seen many of these. Accidently joined a couple and wondered why it did not start. I should be able to use the tourney chat to inform them of thier error. And why is there not a pop-up informing the tourney maker that they have the same number. Seen many 512 max. 512 needed to start. Those will never start and I see over 100 joined. So over 100 get a bad experience when tourney goes poof.
I think this bug is the culprit: https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=207947

And as you informed me. It would not matter as they cant change it. Makes me think even more they need a message to stop creators from making that mistake. I wanted to help. Oh well. They need a revamped tourney creator guide. Especially for multi player tourneys
They can't make it so you can't do that, because too many tournaments use exact numbers. I have setup many tournaments where the max player count is the same as the min player count.

If you want to alert the creator, you can just DM them. Given they will have to cancel and reset up anyway, it doesn't make much difference to posting it on the tournament wall.

Again. Sorry I ask anything in forums. Of course I could directly message them politely as I would do. But when you send a message 1st time to a stranger you get a warning. That they may report you for an unwanted message. When you are old. Warnings scare you. Never again will I come to forums. Vultures

You asked about how to contact a tournament host before the tournament starts. People have explained the 2 easy ways you can do this. Absolutely no-one is going to report you (and BGA isn't going to ban you) if you message a host privately and say "hi, noticed on this tournament - [link] - that the minimum sign-ups is the same as the maximum - was that intentional? It looks like it may not get enough participants to be able to start".

Your fear around messaging the tournament host VS your desire to be able to message the entire tournament registration list at once doesn't make sense to me.

I mean, it does make sense. It's not against any rule to post on a public wall. Messaging someone directly on the other hand can be seen as invasive, that's why people have the ability to report it if they wish to. It's not very likely to happen, but it's a possibility they have.

They have repeatedly asked to be able to use the tournament chat, not post on the tournament wall. It's been pointed out they can register temporarily and post on the tournament wall but they don't seem to wish to do that.
