2 Player Arena Game = No Fun!

So I lost the vote last season to keep the arena game at 3 players. I don't care for the 2 player game at all and LOVE the 3 player game. On principle I decided to sit out this season (or any season that is a 2 player game). I really missed playing in the arena and decided perhaps I shouldn't be so rigid and joined in for a 2 player game. That was one of the most boring games I have played on BGA! It was like playing Go Fish with my nephew. Nope!

I hardly ever play this game so I will take your word for it.
All you can hope for is to possibly influence other players to vote your way. If it helps, another player did influence my vote as a guru in another game.

I agree, with 2 players it's like a toss

It seems to me that it is a much more skill based game at 2 players compared to 3. Obviously still highly luck based though.

I actually prefer this game at 2 players! I usually never do arena mode because of it. I was SO excited to have it two players for once!

The only reason I find 2 player interesting is the war variant. You end up negotiating with yourself. Do you take a merc so you close the gap and only give up 3 points instead of 6? I often do...because I can't necessarily guarantee 3 points from another draw.

As well, the cat plays a HUGE role. Trying to play mind games with your opponent to get them to draw (or not draw) a blind card is huge!

That doesn't happen as much in games with more than 2.

It does not make sense for this to be 2 player when there's the duel version that was literally created for 2 player

It’s been fun learning the two player game and its nuances. For next season, I’m going to vote for the three player game just for a change in perspective. It would be nice to alternate between two and three player games for each new season.
