As I just said, if the effect is that minimal, it's likely to be indistinguishable from real randomness and probably unlikely to lead to any positive feelings (or possibly not even an increased win ratio) for the targeted players. So there is no point.

You're also suggesting that unpaid devs are going to go along with this mostly pointless activity... why exactly?

Think of it like marketing. You don't need to be consciously aware that an ad is making you 1% more likely to buy a certain product for that to have a real impact on a large scale that is beneficial for the companies.

The way people are imagining rigging in this thread is all wrong. If it exists, then it has to be subtle, just like how the way marketing works is subtle.

I'm not sure what you mean about unpaid devs. Even if some people work on here for free, they still have to follow the guidelines of the site. So what does paid or unpaid have to do with anything?

A paid dev has something to lose and MIGHT go along with shady ethical practices. An unpaid dev has nothing to lose - there would be some among their number who would refuse and/or whistleblow if such practices were going on.

This is not what this thread is about. This thread, like most on the subject, is about some kind of rigging existing that the OP could clearly see it, and has decided to leave the platform entirely. Obvious to them, and everyone else is just too naive (or possibly benefitting) to see it.

I'm done on this subject at any rate. More than one person with actual real-world experience with coding has tried to explain why the situation proposed by the OP is unlikely. Sure, people can believe whatever they want, anything's possible, and if they'd rather not play here, that's on them. But for the sake of other players who might admit they don't understand enough to know and wonder if it could be true, I will continue to offer my expertise (as a software dev of the last 19 years) and agree with the majority who state it's unlikely. You want to sow discord by arguing how "possible" it is? Go ahead. I'm going to go play games.
