BGA is a DIRTY company

Post by BigRobAnthis »

I haven't been on this *** website in over a year. I bought a premium membership last year. I have changed debit cards since then. This SCAM of a website charged my NEW CARD for a renewal! HOW??? I don't know. Do they provide a way to contact support? NO! Do they offer any form of refund when you cancel? NO! ***!

1 of these 2 options is more likely:
* Option 1. You subscribed with Paypal, and it's renewed on Paypal, and you'd already set up your new card for Paypal
* Option 2.Your bank transferred all auto-renewals from your old to new card automatically and did something so that when a company autorenews then it goes straight to your new card.

There is an email to contact support with. There's a person named Emma that replies to support emails.

Sir, this is a Wendy’s.

Sorry, I mean this is a USER discussion forum. It’s possible, but unlikely, anybody at BGA will see your message or reply to its libelous contents.

I suggest you contact support if you need help (and you definitely need help).

Both Visa and Mastercard have for several years now offered a service to their subscribers to automatically update the card details when a new card is issued linked to the same account. The best bet if you don't want to be charged for things you no longer use is to close your account when your card is due to expire and open a new one with a completely new card.

To the OP: You should definitely contact BGA support. I recommend copying and pasting what you wrote here, because without a doubt, that will get you the results you want.

I've had the same experience. It's actually considered a service for the convenience of the customer so that they don't have to manually update each individual autopay account associated with that card.

Additionally (or perhaps just a different way of saying the same thing): Banks and credit cards, in my experience, typically won't stop paying a company unless the contacts the company, not the bank. I tried once or twice by contacting my bank, and their response essentially was, "For all we know, this is a monthly payment you are obligated by contract to pay. If you are allowed to discontinue service, contact the company and cancel."

So, yes, as other said, maybe some banks and/or credit cards operate this way to prevent people from default in contractual agreements?

On the flip side of the coin, on the few occasions I contacted the bank it was because I believed the company to be in breach of agreement, but the company disagreed and refused cancellation of the contract, and I wanted the bank to help mediate or otherwise intervene.

Although we do appreciate constructive criticism, we cannot condone such language on the forums (and elsewhere). Please remember that we are a family friendly platform, so keep your language appropriate on the forums and in-game.

On top of that, some of the allegations above are wrong: we do have a refund policy and our customer support is quite reactive.
