Arena mode format

Did the format for Arena mode change again? I could swear I was playing Random BO3 last week and suddenly this week all the games are Legacy. I thought game settings only changed between seasons. What gives?

There doesn't seem to be a set Arena format.
My theory is that it's taking whatever settings you have in the regular Play mode then applying that to the Arena mode.

I did two Arena matches today:
Match 1: set my settings as b01 single character on the Play screen then queued Arena. Arena match was b01 single character.
Match 2: same but set it to Legacy pick characters. Arena was Legacy pick characters.


Not sure how it decides whose settings to pick if they conflict but my best guess is it's whoever queued first.
Possibly going off ELO, Arena rank, or just a coin toss between them.
