Tournaments organize - more control

Hi,

I think tournament organizers should have more control, especially when it comes to banning or removing people they don’t want in their games. It’s really frustrating dealing with players who drop out or deliberately slow things down as soon as they start losing.

I keep getting reports about people like this, but there’s nothing I can really do about it. I’m not talking about tournaments that are already in progress, but more like having a blacklist of people who wouldn’t be allowed to sign up for the next tournament I organize.

Wouldn’t that actually be a healthier solution?

If you go to the bugs/suggestions pages of BGA, there is are ongoing suggestions you can vote on and add comments to around this.

I did ask for this when the new tournament interface was being worked on. I think I proposed an idea to make it so the creator's red thumb list cannot join their tournaments, but I didn't get anywhere with it. It would be a good feature like you say.
