The coding and UI decisions of this game make it literally unplayable for certain screens

I can play this game completely fine on my work computer, but when I come home and pull open my laptop, I am simply unable to play this game because of terrible choices with the UI. For some UNGODLY reason, the action bar is shunted halfway down the screen, meaning the top actions starts halfway down the screen, and no amount of scrolling the bar will make it start higher. This would just be annoying but would not be unplayable if not for the next issue:

The cards in hand FOR SOME REASON take priority over the action bar on the left, so you LITERALLY CANNOT CLICK SOME OF THE ACTIONS as it just pulls the cards up if you put your cursor that low.

Cards in hand need to be subjected to their own board space or a drop down menu.

Same, was really excited for this game. The action bar not being scrolable, clicking elsewhere to minimize your hand of cards can place workers without you noticing, the UI in general is very laggy.

Really hope this game gets a complete overhaul, because right now it's the worst implimentation I have seen on this site.

Hi, dev here, wanted to say that I see the feedback and want to make the game a good experience for everyone, just try to understand that it's hard to support all screen sizes and types of devices (big and small screens, touch devices, smartphones as well).

I did some testing and found some very specific screen resolutions caused the action bar to become stuck. Cards in hand were also drawn on top of the action bar, when the opposite would have been more usable. I'm updating the game soon to fix some of this, the action bar should now be scrollable in those edge cases and also able to be scrolled more, the cards in hand will not cover it.

Please, if you find any issues with the game, the bug reports page is the best way to tell me and any other dev, so that we can quickly see it and fix it.

I have done that, about a week ago, no response yet.

It's difficult to know how this got passed alpha. It's really, really difficult to play. Almost all the UI choices are bad. Taking a turn is a pain. Choosing an action, moving your meeples. I think it might be best to start the UI all over again, give it to a different dev. Drop all the everything's 'scroll-able' idea.

All the cards in-hand go off the screen, everything is too big and too much space between things. The confirm button ginourmous confirm button might even be hidden and go off screen. And the 1 card tooltip doesn't fit on the screen and has to be scrolled.

I want to see the resources go in and out of my player panel as I get and use them.

The main thing has to be scrollable action bar to the side. BGA even call the white strip at the top the action bar. It just breaks the flow compared to all other games on the site. Things pop-in and out of it and again, can be hidden off the bottom of the screen.

If you scroll down to read the 'how to play' ironically is plastered with floating bars blocking your view.

Lastly I wasn't even unable to take a cube off my player mat. Why don't you scroll into view the player mat when this is the option, like Terra Mystica does.

I'm playing on a laptop - plenty of space.

I think that your criticsm is pretty harsh. I've played over 500 rounds of this game, some of them on tablet/smartphone, but most of them on a laptop. I have got it also as actual board game and I think that the developers have done a pretty decent job. It fells very much like playing it in real on a table.
I think that it is difficult to give such a review after only one single round of the game and in comparison to other implementations on this platform here I don't think that it is much less neatly realized.

Sure and yes, maybe harsh, but mostly I wrote is what I saw / felt. We're all entitled to our own opinions, but I'm not going to play it again. Things won't just simply pop back into view and correct themselves just because I try the game again.

Of course, you are free to have this opinion. However, I think you let the opportunity to play that nice game slip away from you.

I'm the same. I posted in another thread about the UI.

It needs tabs, having to scroll up and down going past the card dislplays to see your player board is a pain. clicking on a tab to flick from the board/action wheel display would be faster and easier.

The side action bar is a pain too, if you have the pointer over it scrolls when it doesn't need to scroll. Until I realized this I had scrolled it so some of the options were not accessible any more and I had to refresh.
