Never ending negativity notifications!!!!

Early on I made a comment on the "players group/community" whatever it is on the thread in question. Little did I know but that thread would NEVER NEVER NEVER die and continues to be negative bitching all day, every day. Every time someone complains a little more, it sends a notification that is annoying as hell and when trying to just enjoy the site, I have to be reminded of that negative post all day long thinking maybe I got a notification of a game ending score or something. So even though I would not mind being part of the community as a whole going forward, there is NO WAY I can see to stop getting notifications from that thread so I made the choice to quit that group. Well guess what?! YOU STILL GET THE STUPID NOTIFICATIONS, the only difference is you can't see what it is notifying you about! What the heck is the point. Can a mod please tell me how the heck you can stop those notifications or at very least, close the @#$@# Thread since it's nothing but negative B.S. and obviously not going to be corrected to calm the mob anyways? 10,000's of games on the site, but one low to modestly popular game that has bugs after an update and you would think we are starving kids or something. 1st World Problems, I swear. I regret trying to say something positive to the mob. I will repent if you just take me off of these notifications to remind me every dang day all day.

There's neither a mob nor negative bs. I read the comments, and people are rightfully asking, when the bugs will be addressed. And soe are pretty annoyed that nothig happens.

But I get that it's also anoying that you can't escape those messages. One more thing to fix.

Where are you seeing these notifications? I commented early on too and have o manually go find the thread each time to see what is new!

When you click the bell icon next to your name above the forums, you can configure the forums' notifications.

i think they meant notifications for a group post https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=1340692 ... not the forum. and yes, those are terribly annoying.

only way out i can think of is deleting the comment you made there... leaving the field to the negative comments... So find the old comment, hover/tap on it and you'll find option to edit or delete in the upper right corner.

if you left the group, you will get back in when you play the game again. also quite an annoying feature. but at least then you can access and delete that comment if you want to stop getting notifications for more comments.

Yesterday I'd written a whole post explaining how to unsubscribe from forum threads and configure settings in the User Control Panel to make sure you aren't subscribing to notifications for any thread you post in. Then, oops, I realized it wasn't about a forum post.
