It is impossible to state your preference and choose the color of your pawns??

You don't do it within the game. If you're a premium member (which it looks like you are), you can set site wide preferences in your user settings for color choices (that will work in games that support color choice and the specific colors you've chosen).

If multiple premium users select the same color, or send to randomly decide who gets their first choice.
