Incident with the decks database

Post by ExAlts - Aran »

Dear community,

Last night, we had an incident with the decks database. Here is what happened and what has been done.

What happened
An error caused test fixtures to be accidentally run on the production environment, wiping the decks database. A rollback was performed to a backup from approximately 35 hours prior (20 May 2026 00:00), resulting in the loss of around 500 decks created since then.

No security breach
This was not a hack or an intrusion. The servers were not compromised. Passwords have been changed as a precautionary measure, and detailed activity tracking has been added.

What has been done
  • Database restored from the most recent safe backup
Table drop permissions removed from the production user
Automatic backups set up every 30 minutes
A separate database copy created with isolated credentials for safer operations
Recover your decks
If you lost decks in this incident, you can re-import them easily. Most deckbuilders allow you to import your lists one by one or in bulk. 👉 How to import your decks

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the loss of your decks. The root cause has been identified, fixes applied, and safeguards put in place in record time.

Thank you for your understanding and your continued support.
