never ending game

i am playing with a strange player called sallii
she is not ending the game
i can not do anything.
is has been 3 hours.
i don't want to quit.
what should i do??

You played against the same player(s) that were mentioned in "I played a game of Catan for 3 hours".

The player account was deleted but they just opened a new account. This will go on forever till BGA changes its policy.

You should quit.

Honestly, why would you stay to be griefed continually? Yes it will cost you a bit of Karma, but it gets you out of an awful situation and you can red thumb the player(s) so you don't get back into this again.

The lost karma will come back quickly assuming you don't usually have issues with timeouts or disconnects. Nothing is worth putting yourself through being tormented by someone who is enjoying ruining your fun.

The thing that's a little surprising to me is that they seem to creating premium accounts to carry out this annoying behaviour. I wonder if they are spending real money to do that, or if they've found a way to do it for free.

there are at least two easy ways:
1. win 20 different games for the first time, you get 1 month
2. finish 5 games with 4-5 different fake (sponsored) accounts, you get 1 month
(other ways to get gift points are not so easy and take more time)

This particular user seems to have become premium before their first game.

Then they could be using sponsored fake accounts. Or they could be stupid enough to pay for cheating.

If the other player ran over the time allowed by BGA, why couldn't you expel them from the game?

The other player(s) never ran over time.

In the beginning of the game they are trading their wood and clay back and forth until they have completely blocked in the 3rd player with roads. Then they trade their ore, wheat, sheep to one player such that they secure largest army. At this moment, when they know the 3rd player cannot win (2 cities + 5 victory cards = 9 VP max), they stall the game.

They offer 15+ ressources to the 3rd player and repeat this trade until he accepts. They do not build but just waste their ressources. This can go on for hundreds of moves and for several hours. Harassement in chat and on the public activity area of the 3rd player included...

Of course they are reported and their accounts are deleted. But that adds to their fun - they open new accounts and continue.
