WSBG Teams Season 2 Information
Team Makeup
Teams will be groups of four players
Teams must have at least one Season Pass or Premium Member to act as a team captain.
Teams members must all be from the same region. There may be multiple teams per region.
Non-Members may register for teams tournaments but are not guaranteed a spot.
Teams captains will draft their teams from within their region.
Members will be drafted first snake draft style.
Non-Members will then be drafted to fill out rosters with the opposite draft order
Regions
Each region may have multiple teams
Players will choose their region upon registration (Choose any region you identify best with)
Regions will be as follows:
Format
Eight games will be drawn from the 11 Ring games on BGA: 7 Wonder, Ark Nova, Castles of Burgundy, White Castle, Wingspan, Splendor, Azul, Earth, Ticket to Ride, Lost Ruins of Arnak, and Terraforming Mars.
Each player will be assigned 2 of the eight chosen games by their team captain.
Each game will be played in a 3 round Swiss tournament
All games will be 4 player.
Scoring will be BGA scoring. (Exception are ties which will be broken using WSBG rules)
Ties will be broken by number of Wins, then number of 2nd place finishes, ect.
If the number of teams is not a multiple of 4, WSBG staff will invite guests to serve as remaining captains or have some captains return to the draft.
Registration
There will be a registration form for Members only
There will also be a public registration for anyone to join team tournaments to fill out rosters.
Members will be guaranteed a spot on a team while non-members are not guaranteed a spot.
