Ok, I don't know the whole story here, but if you remove the chips and the bluffing, this is a love letter to something other than Poker lol

I see someone learned how to use ChatGPT. What's so obviously bad about it is that it builds excitement over reading the face of your opponent smh...we're playing ONLINE!
Did you catch the tell when they took that Ace? Did they want you to see it?
May your predictions be true and your poker face unreadable.

Is that your opinion of Balatro as well? No bluffing, and while it has “chips” it’s not the same thing at all, with no betting etc. And yet if somebody described it as a love letter to poker, I’d agree.

“Love letters” to something do not have to have all the elements of that thing, is all I’m trying to say. Maybe you should “get the whole story” first?

I'll agree with your point about love letters in general, and I would definitely want to "get the whole story" before making a comprehensive respectable informed review about a game. But that's not what I've done or claimed to do here. As for simply a light hearted and hopefully semi entertaining take that might be "warm" but not ignorantly "hot", I'll stand by needing bluffing in my Poker and all relevant love letters 🙃

But I don't know Balatro. I'll have to check it out! Thanks!

first of all because they tend not to be, and seconds of all for the same reason it was noticeable to begin with - because it's soulless inacurate and miss the vibe in a way that is uniquely ai, and because it has the annoying ai sentance structure ai allways use.

yeah those are fair points. I found the game incredibly slow for being a poker game.

How well do games like this translate online? How would someone read my tells if I'm busy watching a movie while clicking cards on my phone? Was that a tell or a plot twist on my show?
