Spiritless Summer League 2026 - shorter and tighter

Post by dschingis27 »

You guessed it, the Harmonies Summer League is coming! It includes 3 tournaments of Harmonies - no spirits, 2p. In the end, all results are aggregated and we crown the Harmonies Summer League Champion. Only Good+ players can join.

tl;dr: What changes compared to the Spring League?
- The time limit is changed to 7 days!
- Groups have only 10 players and group distribution is done by Serpentine.
- The first tournament is on B side, the second one on A side, the third one on B side. (I continue the cycle.)
- The top 2 in each group are invited to a single Summer Round Robin Rumble in September. (see next post)

Tournament Links:
Summer League Cup I (B Side, 13th July) - https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=571973
Summer League Cup II (A Side, 10th Aug) - https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=571981
Summer League Cup III (B Side, 2nd Sep) - https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=571985
You can join one, two, or all three of them.

Tournament Rules:
Each tournament consists of eight round-robin groups with up to 10 players, the best 6 in each group go to the KO stage.
1st to 2nd place: Skip KO round 1 and start in KO round 2.
3rd to 6th place: Start in KO round 1.

Your Summer League Score:
- All final group stage scores (2 x wins + ties) are added up
- On top, each win (or bye) in a KO round scores one point
(e.g., a tournament champion scores 6 KO points)
- Maximum overall score is 72 = 3x18+3x6

Tiebreakers
Ties in the Summer League Score are resolved by:
(1) Overall number of KO wins, byes count as "KO win"
(2) Cumulated game score differences in group stages

The overall ranking is created and updated by me - I will create a Google sheet and share it. Have fun and good luck!

This time, the Round Robin Rumble happens only once at the end of the season. In that way, I want to make it more meaningful and perhaps re-engage some of the highly competitive players. https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=571989 (14th September)

Round Robin Rumble Qualification:
- All the 1st and 2nd places in any group of the three Summer League Cups and the players who reach the finals in Cup I or Cup II are invited. Invites go out after the initial group stage of Cup III has finished.
- To fill up open spots, I will later invite the highest ranked players in the Summer League ranking among those without invite. I may also send out "wild card" invites.
(- That means you need to play only one tournament to qualify, if you can make it to the top 2 in your group. Or you play consistently in all three tournaments to get a good position in the ranking.)

Round Robin Rumble Rules:
- There are two large round-robin groups of up to 15 players, all games start at the same time with a time limit of 10 days.
- The group winners play a final match in a "best-of-three" setup, the one who wins 2 games in the finals will be the champion.

I see it as a "season finale celebration" when the competitive Harmonies scene can come together to play a final fierce tournament.

Other tournaments
You still find all the other popular tournaments that I create throughout Summer. We have the skill-specific Champions League, Challengers League, Contenders League, and we have the Brave and Bold Cup, the Mega Quickie, the Big B Side Quickie, and the regular Quickies.

Excellent, thanks again for creating these tournaments!

The link to Cup 1 is the wrong one (Spring league).
Here is the good link:
