Wisp is too op

Post by Oshikureto »

Having a piece that can move to any empty spot and can't be countered by any other piece is simply unfathomable

even though it can't not help capture by being adjacent to another ally piece, it can help in many other ways by creating barriers for enemy pieces and getting too close to the enemy leader, threatening to smother them

when combined to the Tactician, the Wisp is simply too annoying and menacing

Its ability should not be a passive, but active, at least then it could be countered by Jailer.

You're wrong, and you've had little time or opportunity to realize it so far.

The inability to catch the leader excludes him from the vast majority of strategies.
But he does have an interesting side. Both synergy with some characters (and lack of coordination with others) and emergency defensive transitions.

By the way, you can control those squares where this character can't enter. Just place your character there first.

I've barely lost any game with Wisp with the Tactician combo, but txs for letting me know I'm wrong anyway.

The same is valid for the cub, for the close range archer, for the frog, it does not minimize the risk for being smothered in a single bit.

My point from the very get-go.

It can literally warp to any empty space in the WHOLE BOARD. How am I supposed to get my character who moves only 1 space at a time to the very opposite side of the board in 1 move?

By the time I get there, the whole board dynamic will have changed and that specific space will likely be irrelevant to begin with.
