Has anyone done any data mining of the RNG here?

I don't believe the BGA user agreement allows mining the data, but as a game developer I seem to recall I did general testing of the BGA random function a while back. If I recall correctly, doing like 10,000 random numbers ended up roughly evenly distributed.

I seem to recall some other developer(s) have tried similar tests over the years.

Actually, yes. Not "mining" (I don't know how you'd do that), but a thorough analysis of half a million generated random numbers.

tl;dr: It's exactly as you'd expect, but humans are bull-headed and supersticious sometimes so they won't always believe the evidence.

The RNG is a standard function that has been heavily tested. The results are as expected. Nothing is wrong with the RNG.

I am a novice coder, but I know how to code an RNG. It's not all that difficult.

The ongoing conspiracy posts about RNG favoring one type of player or another are absurd.

For example, I could code an RNG function for any game. But for me to write that code in a way that would reliable favor one type of player? That would require extensive knowledge of the game mechanics, which not all coders have. Meaning, extensive knowledge of exactly how and when and why a specific RNG outcome would favor one player over another.

That is not likely.

It would also require the coder to be willing to do this, for.... what reason, exactly? And for BGA to cover up this subterfuge by having the actual game code differ from the visible code that anyone with a s studio account could view. Again.. why?

Also, keep in mind, people in various forums have claimed that the RNG is rigged to favor:

1) High Elo players.
2) Low Elo players
3) New players.
4) Veteran players.
5) High Arena scorers
6) Low Arena scorers.

Etc.

Which brings to mind two axioms:

1) "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof."

2) Hitchens's razor: "what can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence."

While also not advertising that premium players get an advantage, so it does nothing to actually encourage users to get or keep a premium sub.

Actually the system is rigged to favor math-savvy players: those will keep playing, while conspirationists and others unwilling to be educated will be frustrated, claim the system is unfair, and leave early.

It's like lottery being a tax on the mathematically ignorant :D

Paradoxical, that's not true. People will persist in playing a game they openly claim they think is rigged. Even when real money is on the line. It defies logic.

I have to agree with Meeplelowda here. I don't see why being competitive on this site would be incompatible with being a conspirationist too.

So do the initial claims, so it is internally consistent.
