It's probably obvious that this thread relates to the recent changes to the Lost Cities implementation. Personally, I used to play Lost Cities frequently, and now I don't play it at all. I am happy to acknowledge that there are still many other excellent games on BGA, which is great. What I have found most concerning here is how the response from users seems to have been downplayed and dismissed. I might be able to believe that BGA can't offer the earlier version, but I haven't seen a satisfactory explanation for why. I'm not convinced that it is technologically impossible, so I assume it may be due to some strange contractual issue, but there's nothing to confirm that. While reverting to the previous release would be preferable to me, even something as basic as 'we are still not willing to consider changing it back' after 'we hear your concerns and they matter' would be a welcome bit of clarity.
Since it also seems implausible to believe anything will change in this regard, I would like to thank the developers and maintainers for providing a game that I have really enjoyed for many seasons, and BGA for helping make clear that when I look for an IRL copy of Lost Cities, I should be sure to find an older version (with no disrespect to the new designs, which are impressive, the classic look is far more comfortable and familiar to me).
