Interactive Tag Team Tracker

Post by dreamy-chicken783 »

Hey everyone!

Next to board gaming, it's kind of a hobby of mine to build unnecessary and overly complicated systems in Notion :) I recently discovered Tag Team and decided to track my matches. This escalated a little, so I built a dashboard to look at statistics like win rate, K.O. rate etc. But with the few matches I've played, the data isn't very reliable yet. It's obviously not perfect and kind of an experiment but I'm having a lot of fun playing around with it.I'd love to see the database grow and share the gained information with you.

Copy this link to take a look or help by adding your fights to the tracker:

Unfortunately, a clickable link didn't work here (or maybe I'm just too stupid lol)

Here also is a quick shortcut to the fight form:
https://daffy-coin-d55.notion.site/c86774b7d23a833da94601437d583d43?pvs=105
It's completely anonymous and only takes a few seconds to submit a match!

I'm also thinking about creating a notion template for everyone who wants to run a tracker like this for only their own matches.

Let me know what you think and feel free to drop any feedback or suggestions!
Happy Gaming!

Hey good job !
You should also add the pseudo to the winner and the looser, to sync an elo system that takes in account that some players are better than others.
If not you can have stat biased.
I will try to log my games, thanks !

And a loserate, because If I play golem + a bad character, golem will have high level of ko. But overall he has a good winrate and a low loserate. I think only tracking the amount of time a character is responsible for a loss is not taking account that maybe he is a poor support or not attacking enough.

Thank you very much for your feedback!
I must admit that I don't quite understand what you mean by the lose rate. My thought was that a lose rate would just show the opposite percentage of the win rate and would therefore be redundant.
I will think about an Elo system, but honestly, I think tracking usernames is a little bit too complex for my skill level. But maybe there is another way to get a little bit more information about the quality of a match. Maybe tracking the HP at the end of the game for all four characters (taking into account that not all characters have the same max HP) or factoring in how many rounds were played?

If not tracking usernames, what about just adding the elo of both players? I don’t think it’s relevant to track players, only to know at which level the game was.

PS: Just tried to enter a game.
The description of “Winning Team” is “Please select the two characters that lost the fight.”
Which is the losing team. Oops.

UPDATE

You can now optionally enter the BGA ELO for both the Winner and Loser in the submission form. This enables a new alternative Win Rate for all characters. Instead of giving every match a flat score (1 for a win, 0 for a loss), the system now calculates an ELO-weighted factor. This ensures that defeating a better player scales your characters' rating up significantly, while a "predictable" victory against a player with less ELO yields less weight. The match rating for a winning character is calculated by:

1-(ELO Winner - ELO Loser)/400

The match rating for a losing character is calculated by:

0-(ELO Winner - ELO Loser)/400

If ELO data is omitted or unknown, the match defaults to a standard unweighted score (1 for a win, 0 for a loss).

I also fixed the form, thanks for mentioning!
