Tiebreaker when both points and puddings are equal?

Post by Vivavi »

In a 4-player game, two players scored the same number of points and had the same number of puddings. But the other player was declared the winner.

The only rule I can find is that the tiebreaker is the number of puddings. But that didn't break the tie in this case. So what was the tiebreaker?

Which one do you claim is the winner?

To show why Vivavi write this forum entry, we can see at the end of the game : "Round 3/3 is over : toméclaire wins the game!"

Thanks both! @menettm is correct, the reason I posted is that only one of us was declared the winner at the end of the game. @Jellby, perhaps ranking has to do with the number of points (which were equal) and does not reflect tiebreaker situations on BGA??

I'm not upset at the loss (I''m on BGA for the fun, not for my ego), but I am genuinely curious what rule applied here to lead BGA to declare a win rather than a tie.

Hmmmm. Looks like there's a bug. When I do the game replay, it names a winner in one view, while declaring a tie in a different view. Guess I'll go file a bug report. Image or if that link isn't working, open this link in a new tab https://i.postimg.cc/wTCJthdJ/BGA-screenshot.png

I'm also slightly annoyed that most games say that players "share the victory" when there is a tie, however BGA seems to consider ties are not victories (at least in some stats/achievements), so it looks more like players share the defeat.
