A small change for the sake of clarity

Post by LongDiagonal »

Might I suggest using gray markers to indicate funded awards. It occurs to me that using player cubes may be confusing for newbies who are not clear on the distinction between awards and milestones.

The advantage of having a colour cube instead of a Grey token is that we can see who funded the award, even if it is available to everyone. The person who funded the award might have something up their sleeve for a late game swing

You should be aware that any suggestion which impacts actual game play (which this would, as Entropyzer points out) would require the approval of the Fryxelius family, and I don’t see them approving this change. I also think the confusion you worry about is a mistake a given player would only make once (if that; I also think the terminology used is pretty clear as well).

Milestones are on the left. Awards are on the right. And there are bright orange banners saying "milestones" and "awards" in their respective areas.

I would think that's sufficient clarification?
