2 month later UI is still terrible

Post by Cypc »

Cards flip back before i could finish reading, I have to click at 2 different places to scout with each dice that have already previously been selected, gain stat before game is unintuitive and easy to miss because not actually happening before the game, 2/3 of my screen is empty space but game still hides 2/5th of its content under a scroll bar, shop buttons don't even show the cost, like, seriously?

UI for the game is awful and devs showed no interest in taking some time to implement UI improvements and user friendly features. Physical version of the game is pretty cool but this one is just painful to use, what a waste ...

Devs have actively taken part in the community

That's true, but only if you ignore the numeous times that it's false. Have you looked through the official suggestions and seen how many the UI designer fulfilled? I'm not claiming its a magnus opus, but there's certainly been lots of back and forth as he talked to players and fulfilled requests, especially in the alpha phase when the layout and look were being decided.

I undersatand you're unhappy, but there's a lot of hyperbole here that doesn't help. If you just want to complain... A+, I guess? If you have specific suggestions you like, vote for them.

Edit: Also... 2 months later than what?

I definitely don't think this game was ready. Maybe they have been fixing bugs, but there's a lot more to go - I was getting frequent "unexpected error" popups, a couple crashes where the game reset to two or three turns back, and several lock-ups where nothing was clickable (or the only thing that was clickable just caused "unexpected error"). I eventually gave up and quit the table.

Yes, I reported in the bug forum, but fair warning to anyone considering trying this game out - I found it unplayable. I will say the tutorial was very good though, and I'd be interested to try again if and when they fix the UI.

If you went through the bug report system, the devs will probably get it fixed quickly. Look at the number of fixes over the past couple months. Devs still respond to most reports within 24 hours, often far less.
