Puzzled over "That's Just Showing Off" Mission

Would appreciate some advice on this one - text is "ignore two separate [instant] rewards instead of gaining them.

When the mission is active two buttons appear at the top of the play area - but I can't figure out how to drive the mission. For the moment I'm just ducking that one
