Well, I don’t feel the same way. I actually really like the amount of calculation required to be good at this version of the game.

There are so many more possibilities, and great players will find much more advanced ways and better timing to build their garden.

I guess there is a version for every type of player!

What about the game makes you dislike it?

Every game has strayed farther from the brilliantly simple but deep drafting, and bloated it with combos and points for everything and mitigation for players who make poor decisions. This doesn't even feel like Azul anymore.

I can see your point. I find the game to be a tremendous amount of fun but perhaps it's too far removed from Azul to be called Azul.

I agree! It's so good. To me it's just complex enough, and every decision feels meaningful. I tried to get into Azul Duel but found it's full of fiddly, uninteresting decisions. At least in my opinion.
