You’ve asked for it, and we’re happy to announce that Dark Mode is now available on Board Game Arena.

This new display option is not only about style. It can help reduce eye strain, make menus and sidebars feel less distracting, and might even help save battery life on OLED phones and tablets.

To try it, click on your avatar in the top-right corner of the screen. You’ll find a new toggle switch just under it.



Switch it on, and BGA will move to Dark Mode instantly. As simple as that…

Please note that not all the games are optimized for the Dark Mode yet. We’re already working on improving compatibility across the whole platform. In the meantime, you can switch between Light Mode and Dark Mode directly from a table whenever needed.

I'm sure you'll tweak and improve this regularly based on additional feedback. Would you be able to add a setting that ties it to the scheduled dark mode in the OS or browser, so it happens automatically like in many other apps?
