Flockers

Post by ponsfrilus »

Dear translators,

In the Flockers adaptation on BGA, the term "Canada Goose" is used but it never appears in the rules.

For the French translation, Flock is Nuée in the rules but often translated "Volée" here. While it's correct to use "volée", the French rules is not using this word and it bothers me that BGA won't use the exact term the editor choose in the rules.

I'm not sure how to fix that, any advice?

After playing a game 10 times, you are able to translate it in the first place. But only experienced BGA translators are allowed to correct an older (verified) translation.

You can find them in this list: https://boardgamearena.com/team to contact them. You have to scroll down a lot, and then you find the top translators for your language first.

Or you can ask in the French translation forum https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=411 for help.

Language is a source of misunderstanding. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery: The Little Prince) But it is also the source of understanding - it all depends on how you use it. :-)
