New to BGA - Need a developer for my game (Sands of Crime)

Post by bbertoli »

Hello, everyone. Ben here from Radish Games. While my small team has published four physical games in the past, we have yet to dabble in the online board game space. Trying to change that with our upcoming dice and card game, Sands of Crime. We are hoping to get it up and running on BGA by October (if that’s realistic) to help promote the physical game. I see many folks asking for volunteers, which would be fantastic, but we’re also willing to pay for development to speed up the process (assuming that's allowed).

The basic gameplay loop involves picking a “heist,” which is an amount of dice and a roll condition (Roll 7 and keep all the same type, Roll 6 and keep all different types, etc.) and using the resulting outcome to slowly buy off “clutter” for your hideout or powerup “gadgets” that can help you/hinder others. IRL this would be by using dry erase markers to cross these loot icons off the cards. The big catch is that rolling skulls leads to opponents being able to steal from your roll outcome before you can spend it, and the fact that you can reroll any non-skulls one time.

It’s a pretty straightforward action drafting, push-your-luck, and spending set up, but some of the heists and gadgets can alter game play in a tricky way.

All cards and dice designs are finalized, we’re just cleaning up the game manual.

Please let me know if you’re interested, and feel free to point me in the right direction if I’m approaching this the wrong way or have misunderstood how this all works. Thanks!

Hi there,
Thanks for posting here. I would love to apply (as a paid dev) and send you a quote but unfortunately that's quite a hard thing to do without any, even draft version of the rulebook. Would be great to have it, maybe in a private message if you don't want to publicly share it.
I don't think I'm the only one who would like to apply however having the same problem.
