Timing of trade offers to have both players online is challenging in global async

Post by Mystical Goose »

Like to offer system that you can setup arrangements, but you should be able to approve/accept deals async so that when one of the two players goes ative, the deal goes through automatically if the terms are agreed to. Now you get a warning that you both have to be online at the same time for a transaction to go through.

I am not sure I understand. Currently, it works like this:

* Player A sends an offer to Player B.
* Whenever Player B sees it, they can accept as long as either A or B is the active player, per the rules.
* The transaction instantly resolves.

It can also work like this:

* Player A sends an offer to Player B, clicking "Submit and Wake".
* Player B immediately wakes up and can accept.
* The transaction instantly resolves.

You can also go back and forth on deals in async if you want, using "Counter-offer" or "Make me an offer".

Hey regarding this, Im playing Hacan, have trade, want to make a deal to Jol Nar for research agreement.

I want to play trade and am willing to x-1 the table, but want to do the Jol Nar trade last to make sure I can get their promissory.

It wont auto end my turn after everyone is done with deciding how they want to handle trade does it?

X-1 is intended to simplify the Trade card so players don't need to do manual transactions.

In particular, if you offer X-1 to Jol-Nar and they accept, it uses up your limit of 1 transaction per player, for Jol-Nar. So your options are things like:

1. Offer X-1 to them, but send a new transaction request for Research Agreement after your turn has ended.

2. Do not offer X-1 to them, but instead send a manual transaction requesting the Research Agreement in exchange for a free replenish, and then you can select X-1 for everyone else and just replenish Jol-Nar. You can manually swap commodities on a future turn.

3. If you and Jol-Nar trust each other, you could also do the free replenish first, and THEN do the commodity swap and Research Agreement exchange at the end of your turn. To do this, you can go into the Alerts tab and use Advance Pause Options to enable a pause at the end of your turn for transactions.
