Impact of start player

I get the impression that being the starting player is a noticeable advantage. In past games, when I was the starting player, I always had more options for placing a tile than when I was, say, the third player.
That's why I think it would be good if a different player got to start each year. What do you think?

I think the last player has a small advantage (because of the Yearly Goals (comparing players)).
The playing order doesn't change because that would make the competition in the shared market harder to overview, though not a problem to shift start player per Year in the game (in the offline game).

I think the starting placement of the Jeeps prevents any tangible benefit by going first. Regardless of what order you go, you don't have any overlapping options with anybody else. And I have found that I like going after some folks and following them around if I am not happy with my present options because as soon as they move forwards, they leave new tiles in their wake.

I don't think there's really any need to change player 1.
