solo difficulty = luck based?

Since automata can draw a 1(ez), or a 13!

It's pretty much inevitable in a card-based game.

I do feel the luck is a bit more volatile than I'd like.

I do like the general structure of increasing strength, but would probably change this if I played with physical cards. Something like 2-4 strength per round. Could roll a d6 and 1-2 is +2, 3-4 is +3, 5-6 is +4.

I don't really think "winning" is my goal and I'd rather just have a limited number of rounds 6? and some power to compare against since many cards are affected by winning or losing combat.

If you don't have some constraint, you could just play no cards and accumulate money and then play the specific 9 or so you want.

After a handful of games it felt like I got poor luck and the game ended too soon only a few times.
