Is Doground overpowered?

Post by KensaiK »

You can activate this with tiles, recharge activation cards, and leader powers to get incredible card advantage and push lots of points during the game. This card alone can be worth 30+ points in game, plus the cards it nets you.

I don't think I've lost a game if I had it, or won against it if my skill is close to my opponent's.

Its a good card but I wouldn't say overpowered. I think Mentimidae and Wayfinder are better for points, more consistent and easier to get 5 or 6 points. And Lavarp is really strong as well.

The issue line up with the one mention here:

Where the actual issue is the tile to repeat some of the strongest recharge cards.

If a recharge card have a max VP gain limit would fix this issue, like MAX 10 VP during game, which is still good for what is costs. And if exceed the max 10 VP gain, each consecutive VP gain limit to 1. Just some suggestions for house rule these strong cards. :)

For lavarp, it's a very strong card, can only be banned to fix the problem, or make it unable to recharge any energy to it.
