Deletion of friendly tournament?

Post by Sw1ft »

So I created a friendly tournament, only for my IRL friends. None is on BGA to begin with.
they know the game, Heat, as I have taught them, but are new to BGA.

However after half a round it is clear that the speed is too fast and too few can keep up. I said ignore the timer, but now the table was automatically closed by the tournament. This is not that fun for us. So I created a new tournement.

But the old one keeps rolling on and I can not cancel it or delete it. It seems like a big hassle to have 4 rounds of games, where everyone needs to vote to abandon game.

Can I cancel it somehow, or can a moderator help me? Everyone agrees it should stop.

Best regards,
Stephan

Every player has to withdraw. The tournament creator can't change a single thing once it starts.

And, once at least one person signs-up, the only thing the creator can change is cancelling the entire tournament - before it starts.

As the minimum players per game that you set is '4', then I would guess that the tournament would end itself once the number of available players drops to 3 and it can't create a game.

It’s the least bad solution. It would be a totally unsafe environment if the tournament organizer could just decide to end the tournament on a whim. Going through games that no longer hold value is annoying, but you can do with it.

thanks for the replies. I understand why the system would work like this. I just hoped a moderator might have a solution :)

Some have dropped out, some are a bit confused still, but that is what is to be expected from a lot of people who a pretty new to boardgaming, and complete strangers to bga.

We'll manage :)
