Transaction window mid-primary-ability (Technology strategy card) with Jol-Nar

Has anybody tried to make a trade as the active player playing Tech with Jol-Nar following in between Jol-Nar's two sub-steps (research 1 tech & pay 6 resources to research one tech)? There should be a trade window, but want to confirm that it works in BGA. Thanks!

It definitely should work, but bear in mind that you can't do 2 transactions to the same player in the same action phase turn. So if the card would be used by the same player twice, they need to already have it before your turn starts.

If I remember correctly, Jol-Nar would also need to cooperate by doing the first research and then clicking the button to wait before deciding the second research.

Otherwise if Jol-Nar plans both researches ahead of time, this is interpreted as not being interested in micromanaging promissory sales, and no one will wake up for a mid-action transaction window.
