I have noted all the other comments and am realizing there is probably a lot of cheating in the spades forum and I don't find it fun anymore.

Final straw for me in thinking the players chat and share their hands: 2nd hand of game, 52 to 60. I bid first with a 7 bid. first opponent went nil- not seeing his P's bid. One would think I have most of the spades and going nil with not much spades cover and the Jack of spades would be unwise- maybe a risk to take on the last hand... On my first spade lead, he throws the jack of spades which his P covered with King. When I said that was suspicious, he claimed that he never played with his P- which was not true. That was the oddest part. When I called him out on that, he went silent about that. The other player said not to subject them to "insanity" and file the report.

As others have noted, this is not isolated and lost trust just makes it not fun, so I will stick to online chess and cards in person.

I'm sure this must happen on occasion. I've not noticed this being an issue much in Arena at least.

But as suspicious as that seems. Don't forget that players simply making terribly risky nil bids, is much more common than players cheating.

And every so often those risks do happen to succeed.

if first player bids 7 and I ,as second bidder,don’t have much, I will think there is a good chance that the 7 bids partner will go nil so I will bid nil assuming that the 7 bidder will be covering his partners nil, hence mine also.With 7 bid, there is a good chance that he holds the ace spades, king ata least which,i would assume he would lead when spades are broken to give his partner chance to get rid of any high spades, giving me chance to get rid of my jack.Of course,if 7 bids partner doesn’t bid nil also, I could be in a tricky situation ......unless I am misunderstanding the original post.
