Please elaborate.

The last 3 moves are:
Red gets numbers 5,9,12, advances several steps and voluntarily stops with two spots below top at 9 and 12.
Yellow gets numbers 3,9,11 and fails soon
Red gets 2, 9, 12 and finishes the game by completing column 12.

What did surprise you about this sequence?

Yeah.... I recently played my physical copy of can't stop with my wife. I won with 2's, 12's, and 7's.

Should I ask that reality be recalibrated?

I think the only thing that needs to be adjusted in the algorythm is the y to be replaced with an i.

I just got 679 from nothing to all 3 completed in one go!

Nowhere to go with this game now.

Retirement beckons.

Your opponent had 2 full columns already and was one off the top on another. Of course the correct play is to go all in in your position and take risks.

You did take 27 rolls with 6-7-9. Are you aware that you have a 7.8% chance not to fail in 27 rolls? Of course you needed 6/7 in your second to last move and only a 6 in your last move. Thus your success rate was "only" 4.5%. That means that you would have succeeded in 1 out of 22 games. Not that rare at all.

Those people that complain about very long or very short sequences in Cant Stop mostly have no deeper umderstanding in geometric random distributions. Failing with 6-7-9 in the first move has approximately the same probability (ca. 9%) as failing after the 27th move (ca. 7.8%, see above). The "edge cases" (very long/short sequences) are not that rare! A geometric distribution is no binomial distribution!
