Power charge turn order - Question (bug?)

Hello,

Quick question regarding the implementation of the rules of power charge order.

I noticed in a recent game that the first player prompted to gain power after I upgraded a building was not the one after me. I had never noticed or payed attention to that before. Curious, I went to check the official rules, and they state:

In clockwise order from the player who built or upgraded, players decide if they want to charge power.

So it's not depending of turn order, fine by me!

But we are still round 1, so turn order is the clockwise order (or so I thought!).

Thus my question is: given that there is no IRL seating, is the turn order of the first turn possibly different than the virtual placement of players at the table (1-2-3-4) ? And if so, is there a possibility somewhere in the interface to know in which configuration players are seated at the table? (in other words: how can one predict which player will be prompted for power charge first?)

Hey Anadh,
I'm just guessing here, but it could be that when you start a game in BGA you are already virtually placed at a table. If the game then starts with a draft, where the turn order is linked to the faction you drafted, you might already end up in a different seating order as compared to the turn order
So I assume the seating order is the order in which the players are displayed on the top of the game. Maybe you can check if that order applied during your game?

It's the only explanation I can come up with that might not indicate a bug.

It is indeed a good guess, but I'm talking about a "faction pick" with no draft here.

I still double checked on my game, to see if by any chance (even in the case of a "no draft game") the player order displayed on the right side of the screen was any different before and after the factions are picked, but no, it doesn't appear to be the case.

Two options remain I think. Either there is a way that player seating and player displayed order can be different, or there is a bug.

At present, the play order (i.e. the previous round's pass order) is used to determine charging order.
