Feed Fence C056 misleading. Last stable = 4th stable

Post by crafdax »

The card Feed Fence C056 has the following text (excerpt)

For each new stable you build, you get 1 food - for your last one, get 3 food.

However, if you play C054 Market Stall and trade in a stable from your supply, thereby capping your stables playable to 3, feed fence only awards 1 food for the "last" aka 3rd stable. Feed fence only awards the 3 food for "last" stable when it is the 4th stable.

The card text suggests last one not 4th so either the card text should be updated, or this needs a ruling and big fix if the last stable you play should give 3 food instead of 1 food.

Have not tested this with B149 open air farmer.

Actually, it should be the 4th stable on your farmyard. It's possible to build more than 4 stables. For instance the occupation Sample stable maker allows you to return stables to your supply. If you rebuild them later then they can be considered your 5th, 6th etc. stable. Still they give 3 food with feed fence if they are the 4th stable on your farmyard.

I guess the text on Feed fence wasn't written with Sample stable maker in mind (if it already existed at the time).

I could put a Card Ruling on it? (the question mark icons on cards that give rulings for this kind of thing)
