Swiss system tournaments: how many games per player ? (number of games = automatic)

The swiss system is my favorite system for tournaments.

I am participating in such a tournament (https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=541374).
The host picked "automatic" for the *number of games". However, I have not been able to find the actual number of games anywhere...

Someone to help me with this ?

For some reason, the answer is one of the best kept secrets on BGA. There have been speculations and forum threads in the past, but to no avail. A couple of months ago, I send a ticket to BGA support asking for it, no answer yet.

What we know is that it is something like "log_2(number of players) rounded up" but not always. It seems it is either that or one round more. And the number of rounds is not adjusted during the tournement but fixed at tournament start but no one knows exactly what the number is.
