Lost a game for no reason?

I have played Burgles Bros quite a lot and sometimes play the version where I play as a two-person game but I control both of them. I just finnished a two-floor game where I drew a Crystal ball (and cursed goblet) after cracking a safe. I used the crystal ball and replaced the order and them BOOM game lost. I dont understand what happended as the guard on each floor was no way near me or any atriums. The other player still had a stealth.

Is there any way I can refer to the specific game and have some of you look at it if you want? Maybe I have overlooked something so I dont wanna report a bug before making sure I didnt miss anything. But I think I have experienced it before; game loss for no obvious reason but it was a few weeks ago and no way of finding the game as I play a lot.

I think I found the game in question, there is definitely something at play here, but it's not clear what. The advanced Rook (P1) lost their only stealth token earlier in the game. When the safe is opened you draw both the tool and loot at the same time, I can see you activated the crystal ball and lost the moment that resolved. One possibility is that some code got mixed up and the cursed goblet forced you to lose another stealth which as you had none, treated it as a game over. (In the physical rulebook the cursed goblet can only take a stealth token, never end the game).

With the events, there might have been some error in the crystal ball playing (which is not unheard of). I can see what the log says, but if the events were not reordered then you would have fallen one floor, the alarm would have triggered when the first floor guard entered the camera and with 6 movement they would have reached P1 and ended the game. If you refreshed your screen or anything there is a chance the crystal ball reverted to it's original card order, you also had two actions so if the turn ended the event will have triggered.

If I was in your place, I would just take it as bad luck and keep going. I respect your dedication to playing Fort Knox on hard, but there is one rule you were breaking when I watched your game, and it is quite a common one in the digital version. If you have surplus actions, you can't just go backwards and forwards to avoid triggering an event, that is strictly not allowed in the rule book. Obviously that is impossible to implement in a digital version, hence many players are not aware of it.

Thank you for taking your time reviewing my gameplay! The weird thing is it happend again the other day; I cracked the save and got a cursed goblet along with a stetoscope I think it was. And then boom, dead, for no reason. Rather odd. I can see what you mean with the crystal ball event order and as the game usually works I just let it slide unless it becomes very frequent.

I had no idea about the illegal dance monkey move (as we call it at home). We do it all the time when playing together (and alone) and while not allowed I think it would be difficult to remember not to do it but I am glad you presented me with the rule so I know it if playing with strangers.

I have never seen that bug, but I never play solo.
So that seem a multi characters solo bug only.
