I wouldn't waste your time, I don't know exactly how it works but the xp is related to number of players and level of those players, but it's capped incredibly low at 300 xp, so it's really not worth worrying about. As an aside, maybe some point we should push for change on this, because this has come up a number of times recently (I wasn't even aware that many people were paying attention to xp), but the current system is so out of whack with achievement that it's silly. Like I literally think tournaments should be awarding 100x the xp they currently are. It should be much more scalable (ie. not all tournaments basically awarding the max, but that's probably more linked currently to how low the cap is), and the cap should probably be more like 30,000 than 300. Like when you compare the value of achievement of winning a big tournament it should be in the same ballpark at least of winning an Arena season (60k) or reaching #1 at a game (30k).
